4. Peckham: Rumble in the Jungle sale
We won’t begrudge readers for not wanting to pull on the rubber gloves in the recent soaring temperatures to add another layer of sweat de-cluttering the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom cupboards.
But now it has got a bit cooler (OK, not much), it’s time for the excuses to disappear; and what better occasion for a mid summer sort-out than Peckham’s jumble sale, Rumble in the Jungle?
The sale is part of the Peckham Peace Picnic, a free arts, music and community festival celebrating urban friendliness and summertime chilling. It’s not on until a week on Saturday, but if you want to take part you’ll need to register asap. So get to the bottom of those crammed cupboards and over spilling draws, pile them onto a stall and make some money from your stuff.
And if that still doesn’t appeal, well, you could always pop down and buy someone else’s bits and bobs.
