Pedlars Guide to the Great OutdoorsCAMPFIRE COOKING Pedlars guide to the great outdoorsPedlars’ Guide to the Great Outdoors (Square Peg, £16.99) is a beautifully illustrated and immensely practical hardback book. But we have to come clean: we’re biased, as Below the River’s editor, Kate, worked on the book with its authors, Charlie and Caroline Gladstone, editing and co-writing it. There are tips on identifying trees, building rafts with the kids (or big kids), wonderful rural walks, foraging and gourmet campfire cooking: all an urbanite rookie could need to grapple with the great outdoors in style.
