In the run up to Christmas, Greenwich’s Studio 338 is transforming into a giant, immersive (stinking?) cheeseboard.
Brimming with a heady selection of some of Europe’s finest artisan cheeses, the fromage festie will be set up around a hefty wagon-wheel of Camembert, with samples handed out by, none other than, man-sized mice. Squeak.
“Think ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’, if they were lucky enough to find themselves in a cheese-and-wine heaven,” say the organisers. Okaaay.
Spreading over three arenas, the interactive cheeseboard offers dairy-discoverers the opportunity to nibble on as much cheese as their tastebuds (and waistlines) will permit with unlimited biscuits and mulled wine to wash it all down with.
There’s also a selection of vegan-friendly alternatives up for grabs and, for the more saccharine-inclined, ample samples of creamy cheesecake.
Once the supplies have finally run dry, there’s still tons to do – and the cheeseboard will turn into a dance floor with DJs spinning (you guessed it) cheesy anthems until the early morn.
Guess it’s not everyday you get to boogie alongside a 6ft mouse with a belly full of goudaness.
