Head to SE1 and get stuck into an immersive re-imagining of the Disney classic

een to visit SE1’s famous railway arch performance venue but weren’t up for Trainspotting or an Evening of Meat? An immersive experience celebrating Walt’s seminal Fantasia may, in fact, fit the bill nicely.

The subterranean venue’s latest wheeze a reimagining of the worlds featured in the 1940 film, with a Grecian Disco Palace, mirrored waterfall, human fishtank and mystical forest. Wowsers.

Step into the maze of tunnels below Waterloo station, grab a pair of headphones and be taken on a journey guided by a 96-piece orchestra belting out the animation’s classical soundtrack, including Rite of Spring, Ave Maria and Nutcracker Suite. Prepare to be dazzled by elaborate sets, 3D projections and technical wizardry.

The audience will dance with a funky hippo, walk in a prehistoric volcanic wasteland and seek out fairies. And those who dare? Sneak into the Sorcerer’s lair and encounter the eerie majesty of Bald Mountain. The creative multi-sensory evening will also host live performances, with interpretations of characters inspired by the timeless masterpiece.

Make a night of it – sup on a coctail or two at rodent-inspired watering hole at Rat Bar before diving into a a multi-sensory extravaganza.
